13th Annual SFS Shorts Film Festival

Save the Date! May 24-26, 2013 – Don’t miss the amazing SFS Alumni films.
We are featuring Alumni films in two special Screening blocks at this year’s SFS Shorts Film Festival. If you have something that you have been working on this past year, please send it in. Call Rue at 928.649.4257 for details.
We would love to see what you have been up to and share it with our 700+ attendees.
We will accept:
• DVD containing an Apple Pro Res 4.2.2 Quicktime file and/or blu-ray.
• Films must be in English or have English subtitles.
• 40 minute maximum length, including credits. (call if you have a feature-length film)
Deadline for submissions is April 19, 2013.

If your film is selected you will receive a complimentary Filmmaker Screening Pass!
This year’s festival will begin with a Career & Gear Fair on Friday night. Equipment manufacturers, production companies and television stations will all be on campus to tout their wares. Students and festival attendees will have an opportunity to see the latest film equipment and find out about job opportunities in the industry. We will even have some talent agencies on hand to talk to our local actors.
Screening Over 50 Films!
Saturday and Sunday will be filled with screenings of student shorts, High School Film Competition winners, Alumni films and 2010 SFS Award winners.
Awards!
Sunday’s screenings will be followed by the SFS Shorts Film Festival awards. Peer selected awards for Directing, Producing, Editing, Sound, Production Design and more will presented. Our volunteer angels will be busily counting ballots and the Audience Choice award will be given to one lucky filmmaker.
The awards ceremony will be followed by a Wrap Party and B-B-Q. Plan to spend your Memorial Day weekend with us – we’ll keep you entertained!
